FORSZ DIESEL

Design, manufacturing, licensing and distributing of preheating unit for Diesel-engines.
Preheating units for new and used Diesel-engines.
It makes easier and considerably reduces the wear relating to the cold-starting of engines. If it is installed properly so sufficient preheating can be attained even if the environmental temperature is below -20 oC.
The car fitters know the unfavorable "engine-overeat" effect occurred at cold starting well. Essential part of the engine wear derives from the cold-starting effects.
In the strict sense a cold starting can be mentioned in each case when the oil and cooling liquid do not reach +60 oC.
Severe starting difficulty can be observed already under -5 oC environmental temperature. The engine is subjected to overload even if it can be started easily. The ageing engine - if the compression is very low - can work in hot condition properly; as we think but the air temperature required for cold starting (backfire of gases) can not be attained by means of compression. In this case the best glow plug is able to solve every problem only hardly. For ageing engines some deficiencies of feed-injector systems can be observed too. As a consequence of it the low revolution of starter motor and hydraulic loss at low rpm can be seen. Thus the fuel dose is lowered, the compression pressure is reduced so that quality of atomization is insufficient and uneven cycles will be developed. The "grinding" with starter motor for excessively long time contributes to the forced wear and hence the engine can be damaged entirely. If a special starter spray should be used for easier cold starting so ring damages can be expected too. After several unsuccessful starting processes the fuel adhering to the cylinder walls gets in the crank gear and the lubricating oil will be diluted. Starting of the benumbed engine requires a current of several hundred amperes, moreover for bigger engines - owing to momentary short circuit - 1000 amperes can be developed and this overloads the battery. Further problems may be caused by the fuel containing benumbed paraffine which can clog the cross sections.
Nevertheless the engine has been started so the iced glasses can not be seen over for a longer time since no sufficient waste heat is available for heating of the cabin and for defrosting of glasses.
If smoke characteristics of a Diesel-engine of low compression are investigated so bewildering results can be seen. Two harmful effects are prevailed, namely the environmental air is polluted and the engine is weared considerably so that few minutes operation can correspond to several miles performance if rate of wear in the crank gear is considered. If prior to starting the temperature of cooling liquid and lubricating oil and structural elements near the cylinders is not lower than +40 oC so above problems can be eliminated. Therefore we have developed our 600 - 800 - 1200- 1800 W devices which have proper "CE" marking thus they are approved units. These wattages are sufficient for preheating of most
Diesel-engines.

The proper installation is of great importance as it is the precondition for the success. According to the principle the device should be arranged at the height of the lower water space so that the bakelite cup is down, inclined by 45 o angle. The "hot" branch should be connected to the upper water space while the "cold" one should be connected to the lower water space so that the difference of temperature would be able to circulate the liquid. For connection two metal "T"-pipes and rubber hoses are used. Some of the 800 W devices should be connected to the thick water hose of the cooling system so that a short section must be removed from it. It must be considered that hot water can not be able to flow downwards if circulating pump is not operated!
Preheating of the car engines is generally used in the Scandinavian countries. According to our experiences obtained for 15 years our devices meet the requirements and they are cheaper than those made by competitors.
